  1. I will ensure to the best of my abilities that my players are in a safe and healthy environment.
  2. I will demonstrate the highest degree of respect for the rules of the game of baseball and principles of Little League Alberta District 3
  3. I will provide encouragement, positive support and care for each and every player on my team.
  4. I will promote good sportsmanship[ and demand respect for all umpires, teammates, opponents, coaches and parents.  This applies to every game, practice and league events.
  5. I will encourage all athletes to do their absolute best and have fun doing it.
  6. I will demonstrate positive leadership and encourage leadership from the players at all levels of play.
  7. I will strive to build every athlete’s self-esteem and self-confidence by providing them with opportunities to develop their skills, attitude and knowledge.
  8. I will organize to the best of my ability regular team practices and deliver proper instruction in a manner that assists all players in achieving their highest potential in baseball.
  9. I will ensure that all players are treated with equality and receive fair playing time.  Little League is not about the elite player; it's about getting everyone involved as part of a team and developing the skills of all players on the team.
  10. I will solicit feedback from players and families early in the season and often, and encourage the team to define their own goals; not just the coaches.
  11. I will remember that “winning isn’t everything”. A child’s emotional and physical well being, having fun, improving skills, making friends, and giving one’s complete effort are equally important.
  12. I will refrain from using foul or abusive language and, furthermore, will not accept the use of foul or abusive language from other members of the coaching staff, parents or players.
  13. I will demand a drug, alcohol and tobacco-free sports environment for my players and that all members of the coaching staff will refrain from their use at all Little League games and practices.  I will report any violations directly to the League President or District Administrator.
  14. I agree to be trained in the responsibilities of being a Little League Coach, including attending all coaches meetings and mandatory training clinics that are applicable, regardless of my past experience with baseball.
  15. I will never discriminate based on gender, race, religion, national origin, socio-economic class or any other group affiliation.
  16. I understand that I am agreeing to abide by the values and assertions as laid out above.  I asl acknowledge that if my actions violate the code of conduct will result in an investigation by the League and may result in temporary or permanent suspension and/or termination of my coaching responsibilities with Little League
