Strathmore & District Minor Ball Joins Little League Alberta District 3 and the Little League Community

Calgary, AB and Strathmore, AB – February 04, 2025 - Little League Alberta District 3 is thrilled to announce that Strathmore & District Minor Baseball is joining the Little League Alberta District 3 community or organizations, marking a new chapter in the development of baseball in the community. This collaboration aims to enhance the local baseball experience by providing access to competitive play, developmental opportunities, and a broader network within the Little League framework.

Kirsten Langen, President of Strathmore & District Minor Ball, expressed her enthusiasm for this new alliance, stating, "Joining Little League Alberta District 3 is a significant milestone for our community based programs. This partnership not only elevates the level of baseball we can offer but also connects our young athletes with a legacy of excellence in sportsmanship and skill development. Shawn Botterill, District Administrator for Little League Alberta District 3, also shared his perspective on the new partnership, "We are delighted to welcome Strathmore & District Minor Baseball into our District. The integration into Little League Alberta District 3 means that Strathmore's teams will now have the chance to participate in district programs, as well as potentially provincial and national tournaments, offering young players an additional pathway to showcase their talents on larger stages. The move also includes access to Little League's renowned training programs, which are designed to advance the skills of players at all levels.

This partnership is expected to commence with the upcoming 2025 season, with registration and team formations to reflect the new Little League age brackets and rules. Both organizations are committed to ensuring a smooth transition and are looking forward to a season filled with learning, fun, and community spirit.
